These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of chords.me and the tools made available on it, including the chord transposer, capo calculator, PDF generator, tap tempo tool, and guitar tuner (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You agree to use Chords.me only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to disrupt the Service, probe or scan it for vulnerabilities, scrape it at a volume that degrades performance for other users, or use it to process or generate content that infringes the rights of others or violates applicable law. We reserve the right to restrict access for anyone who misuses the Service.
Any chord sheet, lyric, or text you paste into a Chords.me tool remains yours. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and transform any third-party material -- such as copyrighted song lyrics or chord charts -- that you enter into our tools.
The Chords.me name, logo, site design, and underlying software are owned by Chords.me or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding, source code, or design beyond what is necessary to use the Service as intended.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. While we aim for accuracy in transposition, capo calculations, BPM detection, and tuning results, we do not guarantee that any tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every use case.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chords.me and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you have paid us to use it, which, given the Service is free, is zero.
The Service may link to or rely on third-party websites or infrastructure providers. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and linking to it does not imply endorsement.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or for legal or operational reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@chords.me.
